During a 4 hour in-person workshop at 343 Labs NYC, Kora will collaborate with the students to build a track from scratch in Ableton Live. The objective of the session is to explore the creative process and the workflow necessary to create a song from scratch while using different editing and sound design techniques to personalize simple layers into unique sounding elements. Kora will combine those elements and arrange them into a cohesive track so the participants can learn new tools to help them dive into music-making with an efficient workflow and more creative freedom.
With a career that started in the early days of house and techno at New York’s notorious Limelight, Abe Duque has been at the head of the acid-house and underground-techno table since his earliest releases way back in 1992. Between touring the world’s underground techno scenes, releasing on labels such as International Deejay Gigolo, Tension, Abuse Industries, and Rapture, and remixing tracks for household names such as Chemical Brothers and Pet Shop Boys, Abe later turned his attention to education, where he is now considered one of the most respected educators in New York City.
