Day 1: Music Production
Learn the ins and outs of one of the most powerful music making softwares, Ableton Live, and bring your musical ideas to life to compose full tracks. Techniques covered include sampling, audio recording, applying audio effects, mixing, and exporting your song so that it is play-ready.
Day 2: Songwriting & Collaboration
Learn how music theory forms the foundation for music composition and songwriting and learn to collaborate with your peers to compose songs together. Topics include learning about scales, creating strong melodies, composing chord progressions, and working together as a team to create a song.

Music Production
Learn the ins and outs of one of the most powerful music making softwares, Ableton Live, and bring your musical ideas to life to compose full tracks. Techniques covered include sampling, audio recording, applying audio effects, mixing, and exporting your song so that it is play-ready.
Beat-Making
Learn how drum beats form the basis of electronic music, how to program beats in different styles and genres, from loft hip hop, to future bass, trap, and house. Explore how to process and design drums with supporting elements to create the sounds that your favorite producers and DJs use.
Music Theory
Learn how music theory forms the foundation for music composition, songwriting, and general music fluency. Topics covered include learning the rudiments of the piano, intervals, scales, harmony, chord progressions, and the Circle of 5ths.
Songwriting & Composition
Learn the important tools of music composition and songwriting, such as how to write a strong melody, building a chord progression, composing basslines, and writing lyrics. Analyze songs by successful artists, and learn about song structure, arrangement, and instrumentation.
Collaboration
Some of the best songs are composed through collaboration. Learn about the importance of working with your peers to create music together. Students are put into groups of two or three to work on creating a finished track, supervised by their instructor for guidance and feedback.
Performance & Presentation
Learn to perform your track live in front of an audience, using electronic music instruments such as MIDI controllers and your laptop. Present your work, explaining how you approached making your song and get valuable feedback from your instructor and peers.
