In this special\, one-time masterclass\, Alden takes participants through the production process for video game music\, how it differs from other music production\, and how you can find your own unique voice and sound to define your composition portfolio. Alden will use music and game footage from the forthcoming game\, Nothing At Stake\, as examples. Nothing At stake is a retro Zelda inspired dark fantasy game produced by weongwarp Studios\, slated for release early next 2027. \nTopics to be covered: \n\n\nMusic + Image – how the music connects with the visual of the game and why that is important.\n\n\nMini Playthrough – explaining how cues programmed into the game trigger different music cues.\n\n\nTrack Breakdowns – explaining how the game music was composed and breaking down decisions that went into each track.\n\n\nCheck out Nothing At Stake on Steam. \n  \nAbout the Artist: \nAlden started working on the OST for the upcoming retro Zelda inspired game Nothing at Stake a little over a year ago. He composed the majority of the soundtrack\, currently 30+ tracks\, in a period of 4 months. In this free workshop Alden discuss writing music for Nothing at Stake\, from landing the gig\, the research process\, and finding a unique approach to create a memorable and diverse soundtrack for this Zelda inspired dark fantasy game. \nCombining influences from vaporwave\, jazz fusion\, and electronic music\, Alden creates video game scores that evoke anemoia — a nostalgia for something that never happened.
