Brooklyn-based producer/bassist and Ableton Certified Trainer Dan Freeman will discuss how bands and artists can use Ableton Live to create a hybrid electronic/acoustic set. Dan has spent the last 14 years developing techniques for the use of Ableton Live in live performance and has performed extensively with it around the world. He is currently on the faculty of New York University’s Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music where he has designed the live performance curriculum and this past year was a visiting artist at Berklee College of Music where he helped inaugurate the Electronic Digital Instrument Program. He will be discussing the basics of setting up a live set, integrating and processing acoustic instruments and vocals, working with drums and live looping.
