Open House: 6 pm - 7 pm)
Ableton User Group: 7 pm - 9 pm
We are excited to bring you the next Ableton NYC User Group meetup at 343 Labs. As always, the meetup is open to producers, songwriters, DJs, and musicians of all types and proficiency levels looking to exchange ideas and learn new tips and tricks from our presenters and fellow participants. Presenting at this month’s meetup will be producer/performer Tom Myruski, vocalist/producer Dominique, and mix engineer Trevor Wright.
Tom Myruski, who also performs under the name “Nukage”, is an Ableton Live expert and founder of iHeartproducers, besides running NYC largest electronic music production meetup The Electronic Music Producers Meetup. He will be demonstrating his live looping workflow that he created in Max for Live and show how he uses Dummy Clips to automate many aspects of live performance. Dominique is an electronic music artist and producer that has been featured on Hype Machine, BBC Radio 1, and various popular Spotify playlists. She will present how to make a beat with Ableton Push, and use Push to modulate parameters in real time. Trevor Wright is a highly in-demand mix engineer on both the East and West Coasts, having mixed records for Kirk Knight, ASAP Ferg, and many others. Trevor Wright will share some of his “inside the box” mixing techniques, using Ableton Live and 3rd party plugins.
There will be an Open House at 343 Labs at 6pm, directly before the meetup, for anyone interested in getting a tour of the school and learning more about its music programs. If you would like to attend, please RSVP HERE.
