Queens-based producer and recording artist Atropolis visits 343 Labs to give a live performance and masterclass on techniques for integrating Ableton with live instruments. Atropolis' deep passion of diverse music cultures has lead him to work with divers artists, from hip hop legend Grandmaster Flash to artists from all over the world, as shown in his latest releases “Shuffle Mode” and “Jump”, where he mixes the sounds of India, Colombia, Brazil and beyond with the sounds of his native New York, and features artists Ani Challa, Vivian Garcia, Zuzuka Ponderosa, Latasha, and Slavic Soul Party. This masterclass will be an introduction to setting up a live set with a laptop, controllers, and hardware instruments, and will explore some of the powerful tools Ableton Live provides to merge the worlds of the digital and analog.
